On November 9, 2025, the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center hosted the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China, marking the grand commencement of a sporting extravaganza that celebrated strength and beauty, tradition and innovation.

The opening ceremony, themed “Dreams Come True in the Future,” unfolded in three grand chapters: “Shared Roots and Origins,” “Shared Hearts and Bonds,” and “Shared Dreams and Fulfillment.” It ingeniously integrated concentric circles with a water stage, creating an ocean within the venue to vividly illustrate the interconnected cultural heritage of the three regions and one sea—all sharing common roots and origins.

Robots struck bronze chisels, creating a symphony that bridged ancient and modern times; electric light and mist technology ignited the main torch with the flame of technology; traditional martial arts like Wing Chun and Southern Kung Fu, blending strength and flexibility, instantly electrified the venue; Southern lion dances soared, Yingge dancers performed vigorously, and dragon boats raced—together painting a vibrant Lingnan tableau brimming with cultural confidence.

The lighting design for this National Games, spearheaded by YU Zhuo and his team, transforms the passion of athletic competition into a dynamic symphony of light and shadow. The illumination breathes within the space, resonating with the rhythm of the games—igniting fervor while illuminating the future. Over a thousand CKC luminaires join forces, backed by seven flagship products, to deliver a breathtaking visual spectacle.

300 CKC-Proxima Hybrid units took center stage, radiating brilliance with their majestic beam matrix that constructed multidimensional spatial layers. They created a visually dynamic rhythm for the opening ceremony, greatly enhancing the stage's futuristic ambiance and kinetic beauty.

For front lighting on performers, the 300 Tourist M9 and V20 units—this pair of front-lighting “twin stars”—can freely switch between high-color-rendering and high-brightness modes. In High CRI mode, they emit pure white light (CRI: 95, R9: 95), faithfully reproducing skin texture and costume colors. Performers remain vividly three-dimensional even within grand, complex stage environments, infusing performances with dynamic vitality and delivering an immersive, emotionally resonant experience for audiences.

Simultaneously, the fixed-mounted V8 IP creates intricate pattern discs and prism effects along the venue's eaves. The ZB19X IP, equipped with 19 high-power 60W RGBW LEDs, delivers 21,000 lumens of highly saturated color washing to effortlessly illuminate the venue's vast space. Four hundred AK Storm Bars installed along the audience seating outline the spatial form. Paired with AK M Blast fixtures, they generate dynamic, dazzling colors through powerful strobing effects, effectively filling the visual void beyond the stage.

Seven CKC luminaires are strategically arranged throughout the venue, delivering consistent high-quality illumination that enriches the space with dynamic visual layers. Every corner of the Olympic Sports Center is bathed in an ever-changing symphony of light and shadow, collectively weaving a flowing tapestry of luminous artistry.
