Inspired by the theme of the Games, “All People, All Games, One Heart, One Mind”, the main creators play the ingenuity of craftsmanship, adding glory to the Games, such a national and even the world's focus and attention to a historic moment of glory, leaving Xi'an with an audio-visual feast full of cultural affinity, novelty and national pride.

The performance is centered around the two major areas of the Ba River water surface light and shadow water show fountain and the Olympic Sports Center area, and the landmark buildings surrounding the area form multiple points with which they are linked and echoed. The city's comprehensive service projects such as the City Exhibition Center (Chang'an Yun), Cultural Exchange Center (Chang'an Le), and Chang'an Academy were completed, and the Ba River shoreline of the three rivers and one mountain, the Light and Shadow Water Show Cultural Park, and the Olympic Sports Center Park are all in place to show the vitality of the city.

The performance is divided into three chapters, namely Chang'an in the Era, Xi'an in the Era, and Dreams of a Strong Nation, which are based on the present, look back at “Chang'an”, and look forward to the future. All the creators of Frontier Culture used light and shadow as a pen to depict the most beautiful waterfront, the most beautiful scroll, and the most beautiful new Chang'an.

The main building complex in the rear area of the Olympic Sports Center is divided into six beam points, through the beam lights and laser cooperation, the entire light and shadow interpretation of the exhibition space of the infinite extension of the linkage.

The water show is the visual center of gravity of the light and shadow interpretation of the Xi'an Olympic area. The light and shadow of the water show gave the two sides of the river a new color, which not only became a good place for Xi'an citizens to take photos, but also attracted a group of photography enthusiasts, and became a very characteristic and beautiful urban landscape.

Behind all this excitement is the continuous polishing by all the creators of “Frontier Culture”. In terms of multimedia visual expression, they chose the imagery of the eight waters surrounding Chang'an, the ancient capital of the 13th Dynasty, the Silk Road, shadow puppets, the South-to-North Water Diversion, aviation and aerospace, as well as many elements of the Fourteen Lucks. The music of the show fits perfectly with the theme picture, and the Chinese classical music and Xi'an's characteristic folk music are skillfully chosen, naturally connected, and accomplished in one go to show the charm of Xi'an in the three major chapters.

The lighting design team of [Frontier Culture] used L8 modeling to realize the simulation effect of the light position in the early stage, realizing the demand for synchronous extension with the director's creativity, which greatly improved the efficiency while guaranteeing the performance effect. They named the light beams after “mountain” and “bird”, which not only showed a clever sense of visual image, but also gave the lights a rhythm of life. At the same time, the beam shape was transformed into light imagery according to the music feeling, and the lighting arrangement was perfectly combined with the music rhythm, video images and fountains, full of youthful dynamic energy.
